The Plan
South America → Antarctica → South Georgia
The Southern Ocean expedition will be one of two parts. Beginning in Puerto Williams, Chile, with a 1,100km row across the Drake Passage, then a further 1,250km push to South Georgia, retracing the legendary path of Sir Ernest Shackleton and his men after the Endurance expedition of 1916.

Rowing the Drake Passage
The team will row across the infamous Drake Passage, a narrow funnel where the world’s most powerful current is forced through a tight gateway, colliding with relentless gales and towering, unpredictable seas on its way to mainland Antarctica.
A world-first ocean row that will grab headlines across the globe and cement the crew’s place in ocean-rowing history. The route spans 1,100km of relentless water: freezing conditions, sudden storms, and waves the size of houses.

Retracing Shackleton’s 1916 Endurance Escape
From mainland Antarctica to South Georgia, the team will attempt a route Shackleton himself was forced to navigate, crossing some of the wildest seas on Earth.
Another world-first ocean row, carving a new chapter in exploration history while paying homage to one of the most iconic expeditions ever undertaken.
